Last year, I started selling my designs through Minted, a platform featuring premium stationery and art from independent artists.
This year was a year of growth for me on this platform. I consistently put in effort to participate in their design challenges and create designs tailored for this marketplace. I submitted numerous designs in different categories, and the majority were rejected. It was an opportunity to try different things, both artistically and in graphic design.
I was skeptical about the wedding category, unsure if I could create designs that would stand out in the competition, with so many talented artists creating beautiful handcrafted designs. But I kept trying, and to my surprise, I actually won a prize in this category, … and it was the 1st PRIZE !!!
My design ‘Florals‘ ended up 1st in the Wedding day-of stationery challenge, receiving the highest amount of votes among all the entries!
This was not expected, and it is truly amazing, still, after time has passed. I am very happy and grateful for this. I’m not sure if I can ever repeat this kind of success on Minted, but it is a huge satisfaction after all that work!
‘Florals‘ is a welcome wedding sign with hand-drawn stylized florals. I wanted to create something ornamental and rich, drawing inspiration from my lifelong love of freestyle sketching. Happy it paid off!
After winning the prize, I worked on the whole wedding suite, including the menu, table number, place card, and program, all already available on Minted.
Another category, and another topic is Holiday cards. I am thrilled that I have a few designs selected for the new holiday card collection on Minted: Minimal Lines, Airy, and Minimal Sparkle
In contrast to the wedding theme, all my cards selected for the holiday collection are minimalist, with clean layouts and calm sophistication.
With ongoing sales, I’m delighted to see that my designs will carry holiday messages to so many places this year. Thank you for choosing my designs. It is an honor and a good reminder that design, above all, is about communication and service to others.
